Bokstad is accounting software for people who run a Swedish limited company and do the books themselves. Bookkeeping, VAT, year-end close, the annual report to Bolagsverket and the tax return to Skatteverket are all in the same price. Nothing extra when the year has to be closed.

Where the others stop
Every Swedish accounting product stops just short of the finish line. You pay for the software all year. When the year has to be closed and the annual report filed, you pay again, or hire someone to do it.
If you run the company on your own, that means two bills for the same year: one for the bookkeeping and one for actually being done. The second bill is usually the larger one.
Bokstad charges once. Bookkeeping, VAT, year-end close, annual report and INK2 are included, year after year. That is the whole difference, and the reason we are building this.

What we are building
Bokstad has not launched. This is what will be included when it does.
- Bookkeeping
- Bank transactions are fetched with your consent through open banking. You approve the entries, Bokstad posts them.
- VAT
- The VAT return is compiled from the books, ready to submit to Skatteverket.
- Year-end close
- Accruals, depreciation and closing entries, step by step until the books are closed.
- Annual report
- The annual report for a small limited company, filed digitally with Bolagsverket.
- Corporate tax return
- INK2 with its schedules, ready to file with Skatteverket.

- Has Bokstad launched?
- No. We are building the product and collecting registrations. You will get an email when there is something to try.
- Are you an accounting firm?
- No. Bokstad is software. We do not give tax advice and cannot take responsibility for your decisions. If you need advice, talk to an accountant or Skatteverket.
- What happens to my email address?
- We store it with the time, the language you used and whatever you filled in about company and bank. We use it to contact you about Bokstad, nothing else. You can ask us to delete it at any time via privacy@bokstad.se.
- What does it cost?
- 199 kr/month excluding VAT is the price we are aiming for. It may change before launch. Year-end close, annual report and tax return are included.
- Which companies is Bokstad for?
- Swedish limited companies where the owner does the bookkeeping. If you have several companies, each gets its own set of books in Bokstad. Sole traders are not supported.
